Welcome to the official New Hope - Renaissance Reunion website.

A little history.  For those of you who have maintained contact with fellow band-mates from your early touring days, perhaps you have mused out loud about how wonderful it would be to reconnect, spend some leisure time together in a great setting, and maybe even play together again. As we've aged, perhaps those conversations have increased, and in recent years, a number of  us 'old-timers' have voiced the reunion question in terms of mortality and the prospect of nursing homes in our not too distant future. As a result, in October of 2007, we decided to act on that reality and initiate the first stages of planning a 2009 reunion.

A Steering Committee evolved, and input from thirteen '70 - '71 New Hope tour members we could locate was requested, received and processed.  The resulting consensus provided the foundation for the kind of event we have planned. The most significant suggestion was that members of all four New Hope tours and the Renaissance tour should be invited jointly to attend. The dynamics of the reunion were then formulated based on the number of invitees, a central location geographically, dates, type of venue, and the scope of the event (including production needs and some 'perks'.)

After 40 years and with almost 150 potential attendees (including spouses/significant others) from the five tours, plus families, friends, fans, and 'friends of the band', the overwhelming conviction of our folks was that we should do it up right.

Plan now to join together July 30 - August 2, 2009.

Perhaps 40 years is long enough to wait . . .
